 July 2005 - My wife and I decided to do a 3 day camel trek into the Sahara and after researching and writing to a handful of companies; Berber Tours were the only ones to reply. From then on their prompt responses and professionalism, led to us choosing them.
Once in Morocco they helped us every second of the way, from prompt replies to queries we had to directions and to paying conveniently and securely.
The accommodation before and after the camel trek was fantastic, very clean and comfortable, not to mention the great swimming pool. The camel trek package was of a very high standard, personalised with the food being great and the guides/cooks being trustworthy and easy to get along with. We were met at the hotel the night before by Daoud, who was the organiser and our guide, they then checked we had all the right gear for the trek and then we were ready to go.
Our camel trek was in summer so it was a great challenge but one that we regard as a once in a lifetime experience and one that we will never forget. Some highlights were:
* sleeping under the stars
* great Moroccan food and plenty of it, it was delicious and well prepared
* riding on the camels
* experiencing the vastness of the Sahara, it was so peaceful — no one else was around
* feeling that you really accomplished something by finishing the trek
* sitting under a tree for lunch where it was the only tree for miles
 After finishing the trek we both agreed that it had definitely lived up to our expectations and that it was a great experience. We recommend Berber Tours as they are very professional and go out of their way to make your experience one you will never forget. We hope you also enjoy our photos.
